I spent a few hours on Monday night getting paperwork together.   Vaccine histories, intake forms, paper collars to ID dogs, labels for crates, etc. 

Why?   

Tuesday morning we were shipping 11 more pups off to the Spayed Club’s Spay/Neuter Clinic in Sharon Hill for vaccines and altering!  

We LOVE the staff at Sharon Hill.  

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had about 40 dogs altered through them and every single one has healed up quickly with no complications.  The environment is very clean, the staff is genuinely nice and they really love the animals!  Best of all, they seem to understand that we’re a rescue and that our funds are always super-limited.  They don’t hassle us about costs and payment like some vet offices do and since their prices are beyond-great, by saving on routine vet care, we are now able to take in more special needs cases and actually, just save more dogs in general (see my next post).  The best part about Sharon Hill is that they have Dr. Alexander – the best spay/neuter surgeon in the nation <!> and she is not only the most compassionate vet we’ve ever worked with, she’s also an advocate of pediatric spay/neuter!  We are now able to spay/neuter ALL dogs (including….puppies!) prior to adoption!  

They even have a weekend wellness clinic where you can get discounted vaccines, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
