Interaction with dogs: Selective. Renee is selective about her doggie friends - she gets along with some dogs but not others (she does best with puppies and other young dogs) - so it's best that she gets all your love and attention and be your one and only!
Interaction with cats: Unacceptable. Reenie has a high prey drive and will accell in a
home without cats or other small animals since she can hyper-focus on them.
Interaction with children: Acceptable. Renee is very loving and affectionate with children! She has no human aggression whatsoever. She loves to play ball and run around the yard and would make a wonderful companion and friend. Renee still has puppy tendencies and plays intensely, so her ideal family should not include children under the age of 7.
Activity Level: Moderate to High. Renee is a sweet, young, happy girl with a lot of energy to spare! She would really like a family who will provide her with regular exercise, long walks, and playtime. Renee will need someone who is committed to her and will be willing to put some time and energy into working with her!
Leash manners: Reenie walks well with a gentle leader but she needs a fenced yard to run too. She typically gets excited at first when she sees other dogs, but she quickly calms and is a pleasure to walk. Renee has undergone professional obedience training while in foster care - continued socialization, obedience training, and positive reinforcement techniques will be essential to her success!
Housetraining: Fully housetrained.
Health status: Vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, spayed, dewormed.
Major Personality Traits: Renee is an extremely affectionate and loving girl who simply wants attention and love! She loves to be held and will cuddle on the couch any chance she is given! Her favorite activities are fetch and tug. She especially enjoys being outdoors and will lounge and nap on her outdoor dog bed all afternoon on nice days! She is also content being inside with her Kong toys and bones!
Special Needs: Renee needs a family that is experienced with training strong active dogs. She will benefit in a home that will provide her with a secure environment, positive reinforcement techniques, patience and love!
Amount of additional training needed: Renee will require continued training and a significant amount of time from a family or owner who is experienced and committed to continuing her training. Renee is very eager to please and learns quickly.
Minimum Adoption Requirements:
~ No other pets in the home.
~ A fenced yard (no electric fences please).
~ No children under age 7 in the home.
~ Previous dog experience - a familiarity with bully breeds is a plus.

before being rescued by Thunder's Angels when she was 4 months old. She spent her first few months of life in an unsanitary crate where she was underweight and very neglected. She was not properly trained or socialized at all! However, her sweet spirit and beautiful soul shines through! She is a very special girl who will need a very special person or family who will be patient, understanding, and help build her confidence. This dog will bring much happiness, companionship and love to whomever chooses to share their life with her,
and she deserves nothing less...."
