Interaction with dogs: Acceptable. Michele needs a little time to warm up but onec she does, she is great with them - even bigger dogs.
Interaction with cats: Unsure. Michele does not currently live with cats - if you have cats
in your home, she will need to be tested with them during your
home visit.
Interaction with children: Unsure. Michele does not currently live with children so her
exposure has been limited. We do not adopt any dogs into
homes with children under age 5 and because of Michele's
small size, only older children (ages 10+) are suggested.
Activity Level: High. Michele is a young dog - she loves to play and go on walks.
Leash manners: Acceptable. Michele walks nicely a leash.
Housetraining: Mostly housetrained. Michele had a few accidents when she first went into
foster care but she has been doing great now and will let you know when
she needs to go out.
Health status: Vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed, dewormed, microchipped.
Major Personality Traits: Michelle is a high energy bundle of joy. She is constantly in motion and is very agile - she loves people and will even jump into your arms!
Special Needs: None.
Amount of additional training needed: Average. Michele is already learning 'sit', 'stay' and 'come' in foster care. She also responds well to her name. Her foster family thinks that she would do well with some agility training since she is so athletic.
Minimum Adoption Requirements:
~ We do not adopt any dog to families with children under age 5 in the home.
~ Adopters must reside within 90 minutes of Harleysville, PA.
